Yoon Jong Shin released his April monthly digital single on March 30, 2011. The title track, '결국 봄 (Feat. 장필순) (It's Finally Spring feat. Jang Pil Soon)', is a slow-tempo ballad with nice guitar melodies. However, if you are an R&B fan, this isn't exactly the song for you; it's too ballad/pop. This song is composed by Yoon Jong Shin, with vocals by Jang Pil Soon.

New Music: Wheesung - '가슴 시린 이야기 (Words That Freeze My Heart)' (mini album) (2011)

Wheesung recently released a mini-album entitled, '가슴 시린 이야기 (Words That Freeze My Heart)' on March 15, 2011. I will not review this mini album because it contains only 3 songs: "Words That Freeze My Heart", "Maybe", and "Person I Know" and 3 instrumentals. The title track, "Words That Freeze My Heart"is a slow-tempo ballad/R&B about a broken heart. However, it sounds very similar to his other previous songs. Track 2 is a slow-tempo Ballad/R&B song about wishing that a loved one didn't leave. Track 3 is a slow-tempo R&B/pop about how he didn't cherish a loved one until she's gone, and realizing it too late. Although Wheesung composed and produced all the songs, they all sound very similar to his previous works...

Since the remake version of Yoon Jong Shin's "Instinctively/By Instinct" is posted, I thought you might like to hear the original version if you haven't already.

Yoon Jong Shin's "본능적으로 feat. Swings (Instinctively/By Instinct)" track is a mid-tempo traditional R&B/pop song that was released in May 6, 2010 from his May Monthly Project 2010, and it is also found in his Vol. 12 album. The song displays Yoon Jong Shin's smooth vocals, and the rap also complements very well with the vocals. The lyrics are also very original.

Yoon Jong Shin is so underrated. It's unfortunate how people only recognize the remake versions and cover versions, and neglect the original one (Yoon Jong Shin's).

New Music: Swings - 'By Instinct Remix' With Yoon Jong Shin & TaeYang (digital single) (2011)

Swings recently released a digital single entitled "By Instinct Remix (with Yoon Jong Shin & TaeYang) on March 9, 2011. The song is a remake of Yoon Jong Shin's "By Instinct" from his May monthly single 2010 and it's also found in his Vol. 12 album.

The remake version is a Hip-Hop/R&B track that sounds very similar to the original but more rapping by Swings, and the vocals are mainly by TaeYang. TaeYang's vocals and Swings' rap are good, but the best part must be Yoon Jong Shin's vocal interlude near the end because it sounds very smooth. Although, I'm not feeling the song as much as the original version, overall, the song is not bad as it provides a more contemporary R&B and Rap flavour to the original song, which was more traditional R&B.

New Music: Yoon Jong Shin (윤종신) - 2011 月刊 尹鍾信 March (digital single)

Yoon Jong Shin released his March monthly digital single titled "2011 月刊 尹鍾信 March" on March 2nd, 2011. The title track, "너 없이 산다 (Feat. Lee Hyun Woo) (Living Without You)" is a love ballad about the difficulties of living without the person you love after a breakup, sung by Lee Hyun Woo only. I didn't hear Jong Shin's vocals at all. However, the song is written/composed by Yoon Jong Shin, and arranged by Postino. Why can't the track says - Vocal: Lee Hyn Woo instead? Overall, the song is alright, your usual ballad, but the lyrics are very original.  

Track 1, (거기까지만 (There Would Be)), is a slow-tempo R&B/pop ballad about a broken heart with great melody and strong vocals by Yoon Jong Shin. Both songs give off a 90s music feel, without being overly vintage.
